Danielle Cameron is a proud Yuibera woman, born and raised on Turribal Country in Meanjin (Brisbane), and now residing on Bundjalung Country with her family. With over 20 years of experience working with children, families, and communities, Danielle is renowned for her expertise in strengths-based healing approaches and her commitment to advancing the social and emotional well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Her work focuses on addressing developmental trauma, complex trauma, and intergenerational healing, blending cultural knowledge with trauma-informed practices to create impactful, sustainable change. Danielle’s dedication has been recognised through numerous community awards, highlighting her role as a trusted leader and advocate. Danielle has shared her work nationally and internationally on connection, culture and healing.
As a qualified teacher, children’s counsellor, and program director, Danielle has designed and delivered high-quality training programs and initiatives, supporting healing, mental health awareness, and cultural supervision across diverse sectors. Her ability to build meaningful connections and foster collaboration continues to drive her mission of amplifying Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices and promoting community-led solutions.
