Angela Weller has worked with children and young people, their families and carers in multiple roles within mental health and therapeutic organisations. Over the course of her career, she has worked within and managed services in Child Protection and Australian Childhood Foundation including the Child Trauma Service. She has a particular interest in support for children who have experienced family violence and in this area has contributed to the development of the Foundation’s Safe and Secure Trauma Informed Practice Guide for professionals working with children and young people affected by family violence. She has co-designed and developed numerous therapeutic resources such as the Big Tree therapeutic dolls. She has recently been involved in the development of a revised framework for working with professionals in an educational setting.

Angela is currently Managing the Professional Education Program at Australian Childhood Foundation, with a focus on integrating and applying knowledge and practice wisdom from therapeutic work into learning products for the professional community.
