Anette Birgersson is a licensed cognitive behavioral psychotherapist with nearly 30 years of experience working with children and adolescents affected by trauma and harmful sexual behaviors. She is the founder of Skills Clinic in Sweden and a PhD candidate at Marie Cederschiöld University.
Anette is an international trainer and supervisor in trauma-informed approaches such as TF-CBT and DBT, supporting professionals across Europe, the United States, and Australia. Her work focuses on helping practitioners move beyond labels and risk thinking, toward understanding the needs, vulnerabilities, and skills behind children’s behaviors.
As a keynote speaker, Anette is known for combining clinical depth with practical tools, bringing complex issues to life in a way that is both accessible and grounded in real-world practice.
At the heart of her work is a belief that when we respond with understanding, structure, and skill-building, children and young people are given real opportunities to build safer and healthier lives.
