Professional Bio
Timmy Duggan OAM is a proud Warrumungu and Nyikina man and the founder of Hoops 4 Health Australia, a pioneering organisation that has been empowering First Nations communities for over 25 years. As the only Indigenous Australian to play in the National Basketball League (NBL) during the 1990s, Timmy has used his platform to inspire positive change, promoting health, well-being, and leadership through sport. With a Diploma of Youth in Community Development Work from RMIT University, Timmy is a dedicated mentor and leadership trainer. His work with Hoops 4 Health focuses on using sport as a tool for healing and growth, particularly in youth justice and community development settings, where he continues to make a lasting impact.
