Professional Bio
Lauren (she/they) is a disabled and neuroqueer survivor advocate dedicated to leveraging lived and living experience expertise for systemic change. Currently working in the Victorian public mental health system at Alfred Mental and Addiction Health, they integrate relational, trauma-responsive, and care-centred approaches into organisational strategy and planning to drive cultural transformation. As a survivor advocate with Left Write Hook, Lauren contributed to research, co-produced a book, features in the award-winning documentary, and continues to champion peer-led, creative, and body-based approaches to healing and recovery. With a background in arts and culture and research on justice for survivors of sexual violence, they are dedicated to building ethical, inclusive systems that honour the full humanity of people navigating trauma and recovery.
