Professional Bio
Eliza Gibbons, AThR, PhD candidate
Eliza is a professionally registered clinical arts therapist, teacher, qualified trauma yoga facilitator and holds additional training in dance movement therapy.
Holding contracts in schools as well as working privately, primarily with children and families, Eliza works creatively, in collaboration with communities to support the wellbeing and agency of the those referred to her care.
In her previous role as Programme Leader, and now current role as guest lecturer at Whitecliffe College, Eliza's main teaching areas are; working with children, risk/safety and ethics and embodied practice as well as supervising student clinical arts therapists in their placement environments and research projects.
Eliza's PhD focus is the concept of mothering for those is the caring professions in alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
