Professional Bio
Eli is a consultant psychiatrist and psychodynamic psychotherapist. He has been invited as a keynote speaker for both local (e.g. RANZCP) and international (e.g. International Psychoanalytic Association) conferences. He is the Australian Director of the Certificate of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies, training hundreds of clinicians. He was the Medical Director of an addiction and trauma hospital for 7 years, is an accredited clinician for the AFL Players association, and has been invited to review Governmental Guidelines for Gambling Addiction. He is an expert witness for historical abuse cases, and as an adjunct lecturer at Monash University, he teaches Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, philosophy of mind, and conceptual frameworks for psychiatry. He was the first psychiatrist in Australia to treat a patient with psychedelic assisted therapy in a clinical setting, after Australia became the first country to reschedule psychedelic medicines.
