Andrea Greer is the director and founder of Nurturing Relationships, a practice specialising in play therapy, EMDR, training and consulting. Andrea holds a Master’s degree in Social Welfare with distinction, endorsed in Mental Health Practice from the University of Otago, New Zealand. She is also the recipient of the Certificate of Excellence under the research category at the Aotearoa New Zealand Association Social Worker (ANZASW) Quality and Innovation Awards in 2017 and the winner of the ANZASW national award for Innovative Practice in 2023 for her multi-layered approach to creating trauma responsive communities. In 2015, she created a model in her master's thesis called "The Trauma Responsive Care Model" which was rolled out nationally as the clinical model in all the residential group homes in New Zealand. Andrea continues to train communities and schools with her Trauma Responsive Care Model all throughout New Zealand.
